Deep in Portugal's Douro Valley, the oldest demarcated wine region in the world, we explore an abandoned 1910s wine farm frozen in time for nearly 30 years. Going through the documents left behind, we pieced together the story of the family who lived here: a father who built the farm on eighteen acres in 1910, and a son, Antonio, who turned it into a port wine business during the Salazar regime, until it all fell apart. In 1973 a buyer took his wine and never paid, a year later he was robbed after the regime fell, and to this day his sisters blame him for everything. A family dispute that never healed, and a house that quietly closed its doors in the late nineties. Inside, everything remains: the family photos above the Parisian piano, a locked vault, one of the most authentic Portuguese kitchens we've ever seen, and bottles of port dating back to 1902.
